As I’ve previously mentioned, I’ve been a using both SpringPad (Service no longer available) and Evernote for quite some time. I started of with Springpad as my full time note taking app of choice, but I haven’t been too keen on it’s web layout and slow loading time. Along with Evernote’s web clipper tools, I finally made the switch about a month ago.
So i deleted my Springpad widget from my Android homescreen and installed the Evernote widget instead. So far so good. but since there’s not obvious way of importaning 137 of my previous notes into Evernote easily. I still have to go back to it every now and then and I was plesantly surprised to see the new Pinterested like new look, with some new and funky looking features like the collaborative nature.
 

I’m pretty impressed by the promises, so i decided to give it a try. It looked much better, very slick in fact. but I was quickly disappointed by the way it’s forcing me to embrace it’s new functions. It look nice, but it’s not as intuitive to use as before which also mean it’s not as practical as Evernote. It still run kinda slow for me too.

The WORST is when I finally did manage to click through to see all my note pads, they all said I had ZERO item. Luckily all my notes were there, it’s just the number wasn’t reflecting it, but it’s this kinda things that make me like evernote more.
Hence, all in all, although a very good attempt by Springpad. I’m afraid I won’t be switching back anytime soon.
